Watch the 2020 Virginia Senatorial Debate live, as it happens, on September 23rd, before it publicly airs!
On September 23rd, the Chamber will host the first U.S. Senatorial debate between U.S. Senator Mark Warner (Democrat) and Daniel Gade (Republican) and all members are invited to watch it live, as it happens (register here). The debate is presented in partnership with NBC4 Washington, Telemundo 44, and George Mason University's Schar School of Policy and Government. It will be broadcasted statewide on NBC affiliates later that evening.
 
NBC News political director and moderator of Meet The Press Chuck Todd will moderate the debate, which will focus on the critical issues facing Virginia voters. A panel of NBC4 Washington and Telemundo 44 journalists, including Anchor of News4 Today Aaron Gilchrist, News4 Northern Virginia Bureau Chief Julie Carey, and Telemundo 44 reporter Alberto Pimienta, will pose questions to the candidates.

This is the 25th year that the Chamber has provided the Northern Virginia business community and voters an opportunity to evaluate political candidates through a debate format focused on important regional business issues.

Virginia's Special Session Continues
The Special Session of the General Assembly is in its third week. Work is progressing on major legislation around policy reforms, eviction relief, paid leave, and more. Want to follow along with the virtual session? Click here for a list of scheduled meetings.

Keynoting the Awards is Major General Malcolm Frost, U.S. Army Retired, whose timely address will relate leadership traits he learned in a career spent enduring repeated crisis realized in combat to leading in business within today’s current pandemic environment.
