Tip #18: Does Doing the Right Thing Put Your Satisfaction Scores at Risk?
If you’re worried about refusing to prescribe medications or advising your patients on sensitive issues because it will lower your scores, we have good news for you.

A recent review of Medicare data shows that denying opioid prescriptions to addicted patients didn’t decrease scores.

In addition, providers who advised their patients to quit smoking and providers who discussed physical activity with their patients were actually given a higher satisfaction rating!
