IMPORTANT EVENTS THIS WEEK:

- TK/Kinder picnic is TODAY from 4-6pm @ Calabasas Hills Park. Check your email for details.
- Welcome to Bay Laurel new parents! Back-to-School Night for TK/K is Monday, August 19th from 5:30-6:30pm in the MPR. Come and meet your student's teacher!
- Registration for all students Grades 1-5 will take place on Tuesday, 8/20 in the MPR. Last names starting J-P @ 3-4pm; R-Z @ 4-5pm; and A-I @ 5-6pm. Please make the process easier by completing both sides of the yellow cards and the brown emergency release form in full (no photo needs to be attached) prior to coming. Also come prepared to turn in your AFD form. We will be accepting payments.
- First day of school is Wednesday, August 21st! Details below.
- Back-to-School Night for Grades 1-5 is Thursday, August 22nd. Grades 4-5 visit classrooms 5:45-6:15pm, All grades in the MPR 6:20-6:55pm, and Grades 1-3 visit classrooms 7-7:30pm. Welcome back parents!
- Family Movie Night is Friday, August 23rd at 6pm, lower field Bay Laurel. Pre-order food by Wednesday, 8/21 @ Noon!

Students may purchase lunch from school for $4.50. The menu is linked
here. There is a daily lunch selection along with standard options and healthy snacks. To set up an electronic account for your child so they can buy lunch without having to take money to school, open a paypams account
here. You can set up automated deposits into the account when the balance gets low so your student will never run out of lunch money.

Dolphins, welcome back to school! Wednesday, 8/21 is the first day of school! The first day of school schedule is as follows:
- TK/Kinder = 9:00 - 10:30 AM
- Grades 1-5 = 8:15 AM - 12:36 PM
Parents, please join us in the MPR after you drop your child off for their first day of the 2019-20 school year! The PFA is hosting their annual "Parent Welcome Breakfast" from 8:00-10:00 AM! Come grab some coffee and breakfast, check out the new Dolphin spirit wear, learn more about PFA Volunteer Opportunities, and more! Will you have "TEARS" or "CHEERS' on the first day? :)

2019 BAY LAUREL FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT

Located on the lower field, Bay Laurel PFA will be sponsoring a fun, back-to-school movie night on
Friday, August 23rd at 6pm.
What is the movie, you ask? You've got to come to find out! It's a surprise...But it will be family-friendly!
The movie is free, but there will be food available for purchase. Twisted Tots will be selling chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, caesar salad, hot dogs and tater tots! Use this

Also be sure to bring some extra dollars with you. The 5th graders will be selling snack items and they only take cash!

You can now earn $$ for our school with the new & improved Box Tops mobile app. The app will scan your store receipt, find participating products & instantly add Box Tops to our school's earnings online!
Box Tops are still worth 10¢ each for our school.
Eventually the Box Tops program will become digital-only. For now, you can continue to clip & submit traditional Box Tops to the office Collection Box until they are phased out.

Bay Laurel Elementary is proud to offer a number of high quality after-school care and enrichment classes. There will be an opportunity to meet and learn about many of them during the TK/K picnic this afternoon or at registration for grades 1-5 on Tuesday, August 20th.

for after-school care and enrichment activities from the following providers: Boys & Girls Club, the YMCA, Homework Club, Sports with Coach Dante, and JAXX Theatricals.
