The Boosterthon Dolphin Dash is the number one fundraiser for the MES PTA and an opportunity for the kids to have an active part in helping their school! During Boosterthon, they will get to participate in a 7-day character-building program themed ‘Grand Land Adventure’, which promotes the importance of gratitude, stewardship, bravery, perseverance, and wonder. The program finishes with a FUN RUN on Tuesday, November 15th! Additional details have been sent home through a flyer and will be sent via email tomorrow.

Dolphin Dash Fun Run (November 15th)
Parents and family members encouraged to join us to cheer on the students during their fun run at the following times:
· Kindergarten - 8:00-8:45am
· 1st Grade - 10:00 - 10:45 am
· 2nd Grade - 12:30 - 1:15pm
· 3rd Grade - 9:00 - 9:45am
· 4th Grade - 1:30-2:15pm
· 5th Grade - 11:30am - 12:15pm
In 2021, we raised over $129,000 through Boosterthon thanks to our generous supporters! Our goal this year is to raise $100,000 for all of the amazing programming we have planned for our students and staff. We're counting on the community’s support again this year. Please register your children and help spread the word to your family and friends who may be able to contribute. This is a highlight on the kids' calendar every year and we welcome parents supporting their runners on the day of the event. More details can be found on the Boosterthon Dolphin Dash webpage.
Volunteers Needed!
If you can, please sign up to volunteer on the day of the Dolphin Dash. We cannot do this without help from our parents!
Questions about Boosterthon and the Dolphin Dash can be sent to Fabricio Moraes.

Dolphins Do Good Thanksgiving Collection
The Dolphins Do Good Committee organizes projects throughout the school year with the goal of giving back to our Morningside Elementary community and our larger Atlanta Public School community.
This Thanksgiving we will be collecting money to support Morningside families who need help with their holiday meal purchase. Our ambition is to raise $2500.
You can donate using this LINK or scanning the QR code to the right. The link will be live for donations until Tuesday, November 15th.
To connect this community need for our children, we will also be collecting $1 donations at drop off on Thursday, November 10th. Additionally, as a part of their SEL curriculum, your children will be discussing gratitude and being grateful for food will be among the topics.
We thank you for any support you can give to our families during the holidays!

Morning Drop Off
We are asking your assistance with morning car line as we are seeing an increase in cars for morning drop off! We also see that the 7:15-7:30am time is basically empty with almost no cars dropping at that time. This is causing a large backup after 7:30, and in turn, forcing car line to extend past 7:45. Our staff at car line must report to their students at 7:45, so we will no longer be able to open car doors past that time (the beginning bell of school).
We strongly encourage trying to leave home a few minutes earlier to spread out the drop off time, and prevent tardies for students! Thank you!!

What to do after the "Boo": SWAG Yard Sign Recycling
Do you know what to do when you are done with your "Boos"? If not, the SWAG Sustainability Community has the answer for you! Beginning on November 1st, the SWAG committee will be launching yard sign recycling just in time to keep CHOA Boos and all other corrugated plastic yard signs out of the landfill. Collection bins will be placed under the awning to the left of the main entrance to MES@Inman starting on November 1st.
***Plastic tops must be separated from the metal base and each should be placed in the appropriate bin.***
Please note: yard signs placed in Atlanta's curbside recycling bins are considered contamination and are sent to a landfill, so please use this new recycling option instead!
