Domestic Abuse Resources For Survivors In Dauphin, Cumberland, and Perry Counties
As of March 2020, the Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry County Courts of Common Pleas require all individuals wishing to obtain emergency
Protection from Abuse Orders to contact the Court Administrator directly for assistance. No individuals are permitted within the courthouses for the purpose of filing PFA petitions. After the petition is filed, the content of the petition will be discussed with a judge by telephone, videoconference or in person, if there is no other alternative available. All final Protection from Abuse Order hearings will be scheduled before a judge, when the courthouses reopen to the public, which will be a date after May 31, 2020. In the interim, all temporary PFA Orders will remain in effect until further Order of Court.
