In October 1988, President Ronald Reagan declared October as National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month saying, "When a child loses his parent, they are called an orphan. When a spouse loses her or his partner, they are called a widow or widower. When parents lose their child, there isn’t a word to describe them."

October 15 is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. While some losses just can't be explained, there are ways to help expecting mothers prevent the loss of a baby. And that is where the services of our Project Link come in. Approximately 1 in 4 pregnancies worldwide will end in miscarriage. According to the World Health Organization, 4.5 million stillbirths occur each year worldwide.
