DON’T CALL ME BABE!

Some of you will remember a movie called Barb Wire. It was set in the future and starred Pamela Anderson as a bad ass and she rode Triumphs! I had the privilege of teaching her how to ride a motorcycle for the movie.

Her then boyfriend Tommy Lee from the band Motley Crue had already tried to teach her on a Harley Sportster. Since he was not a motorcycle instructor that didn’t go too well, and she fell off multiple times.

I met her and her entourage at a big parking lot in Burbank which had been a major manufacturing plant for U.S warplanes during World War II. She arrived in a limo and stepped out in an ultra-thin black leather outfit with some stylish high heel boots. I thought to myself, oh boy this is not going to be easy. She was very athletic and had no problem sitting on the Triumph Thunderbird I had brought. I spent a lot of time putting her through a variety of motorcycle exercises and she did quite well.

Every time she rode the bike during filming I was on set as an advisor. She rocked it! The famous female stunt rider Debbie Evans rode the bikes in the wilder scenes. Sometime after a friend of mine called me and said, dude, you’re on TV. I was so immersed in her training that I didn’t notice MTV was filming us and our training session. After all I knew that if she crashed on my watch I would be screwed! She was a Hollywood great and popular as hell!

If you want to check out the motorcycle training scenes, they are at the 5:50 to 6:25 minute mark in the video.

It was such a special thing for me to teach THE Pamela Anderson how to ride. She was very sweet, polite, listened intently to every one of my instructions, and was genuinely a professional and very nice person.

Another story that confirms I am one of the luckiest people on earth!

New Ducati Multistrada V2: the lightest in its category

For the 8th episode of the 2025 Ducati World Premier, Ducati unveiled the new Multistrada V2, a mid-size crossover designed for fans of twin-cylinder engines. The 2025 model significantly improves lightness, handling, and ease of riding. The new Multistrada V2 keeps its 19-inch front wheel, ensuring safety and fun even on rough pavement, but it has been completely redesigned around the new twin-cylinder V2 engine, becoming even more accessible and enjoyable to ride.

Thanks to a design inspired by the pursuit of maximum lightness, focused on the monocoque frame and the new Ducati V2 engine, the Multistrada V2 is 40 pounds lighter than its predecessor. Its weight of 439 pounds (wet, without fuel) makes it the lightest in its class, enhancing maneuverability and low-speed handling, even when fully loaded. Combined with the broad power delivery of the variable-valve twin-cylinder, an advanced electronics package, and careful ergonomic and aerodynamic engineering, the Multistrada V2 transforms every ride into an unforgettable journey.

Diavel V4, Dare to be Bold. New “Black Roadster Livery” for the Model Year 2025

Since its birth in 2011, the Diavel has aroused enthusiasm and achieved great success for its unique design, at once muscular, sporty, exaggerated and elegant, as evidenced by the numerous awards from important design institutions.

With the 2025 Model Year, the Diavel V4 becomes even bolder with the new “Black Roadster Livery” unveiled at Intermot 2024. Created by the Centro Stile Ducati, the new graphics are based on colours linked to the history of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer and the Diavel. The Racing Yellow, featured on the tank and in the stripes on the tail and side panels, “lights up” a colour scheme featuring black and titanium tones, creating a livery that puts the Diavel V4 even more at the centre of attention. The new seat covering completes an uncompromising design, giving the Diavel even more character.
