Celebrate Chamber of Commerce
Week in Arkansas
AEDCE and the Arkansas State Chamber are pleased to announce that October 14 - 18, 2019 has been proclaimed Chamber of Commerce Week in Arkansas by Governor Asa Hutchinson!

Thank you to Governor Asa Hutchinson for recognizing the contribution of local chambers of commerce to the civic and economic vitality of the State of Arkansas.

Support your local chamber day is Wednesday, October 16th and AEDCE and the State Chamber are very appreciative and grateful of the work done in local communities across Arkansas to build a strong business environment!

We look forward to celebrating the Arkansas chamber community that week and encouraging our members to do the same.

You can also take part in the celebration and we have included a few resources you can use to involve your membership, elected officials, and community. To download the Chamber of Commerce Week in Arkansas logo, please CLICK HERE.

Consider some of these ideas to help celebrate!

  1. Have a recruitment contest to see how many new members your current members can sign up. For example, recruit a potential NEW member during Chamber Week and be entered into a prize drawing.
  2. Invite other chamber professionals in your area to lunch; celebrate and network with them.
  3. Ask your Mayor for a local proclamation. CLICK HERE for a SAMPLE.
  4. Invite a member of the state chamber to speak to your membership during this week.
  5. Hold an open house at your chamber office (with light refreshments) to show the community what the chamber does.
  6. Submit a press release to your local newspaper.
  7. Invite chamber members to meet you at member restaurants for breakfast, lunch, or dinner (eat somewhere different each time!) to talk with you about their chamber experiences.
  8. Approach local radio stations to conduct interviews with chamber leaders.
  9. Remember to promote Chamber of Commerce Week on social media using #SupportYourLocalChamber.
  10. Let AEDCE know your plans so we can celebrate with you!
