We strive to help relieve each family's unique stressors at minimum, for one year
Did you know?
- A widow will experience 20 - 50 secondary losses
- Maintaining routines helps a grieving child feel a sense of normalcy and security during a tumultuous time
- Widowed parents often report their support did not last long enough
- Self-care is often the first priority a widowed parent will overlook
By addressing both the emotional and practical needs of children and the surviving parent, families can work towards healing and resilience after such a profound loss. This is what WPRP aims to do.
Besides for monthly house cleaning, self-care stipends, and home organizing, WPRP's funding goes toward Christmas gifts, school supplies, gifts and experiences for remembrance dates, kids' birthday blessings, sensitive holiday blessings like Valentines day and Fathers day, and other unique special needs.
It's the care over time that makes the biggest difference.
