(1884) Napa, California
The Napa River Inn welcomes pups with gourmet bones and biscuits, as well as ready-to-go pet sitters who are available to cover any of your pet's needs. Additionally, little furry guests receive custom-designed blankets embroidered with the Inn’s logo plus a placemat and stainless-steel bowls for food and water.
Located at the Historic Napa Mill in Downtown Napa, the distinctive Napa River Inn is a Forbes Four-Star hotel and has been named one of America’s Dozen Distinctive Destinations by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Originally established as a grain mill by Captain Albert Hatt in 1884, the Inn is housed in the original warehouse, offering a range of luxurious guestrooms and suites. Within walking distance of the best that the city has to offer, guests to the property can dine al fresco at award-winning restaurants, enjoy live music, sample varietals at a wine tasting, or try the delightful day spa, a purveyor of amazing local grape-based body products located in the old Napa Police Station.

Take your pup along for the ride when visiting French Lick Resort. There are dog-friendly rooms and amenities available at both of the resort's historic hotels, so there is no reason to leave the pets behind. With over 3,000 acres, the French Lick Resort offers plenty of space for both guests and their dog to get out and about. Walking and hiking trails wind through the Hoosier National Forest offering plenty of space for pups to roam. Established in 1845, French Lick Springs Hotel attracted guests from around the world to experience the “miracle waters” of nearby sulfur springs. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, French Lick Springs Hotel is currently one several structures that constitute the French Lick Resort. This wonderful holiday destination has 443 guestrooms and suites, a 105,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art Meeting and Event Center, and two championship golf courses designed by renowned architects Donald Ross and Pete Dye.

The Inn at Diamond Cove is part of a small, island community called Great Diamond Island off the coast of Portland, Maine. Once pivotal in the defense of the United States, Army structures that were once scattered over the island have been restored and are now homes with wonderful historical detail and character. Prior to being the site for an Army base, Great Diamond Island featured a famous artistic retreat. American literary greats such as Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Harriet Beecher Stowe spent time experiencing quiet island living there. Castlemartyr Resort stands as the gold medal award winner for the best pet-friendly hotel in Ireland and is a great destination for a pet vacation! The hotel offers luxurious pet friendly rooms including one with a private garden that pups love to walk through. Doggies will receive a complimentary bed as well as Pet Concierge services with listings of local dog walkers, sitters, groomers, and veterinarians. A map is also provided with nearby beaches and woods for pet-friendly strolls.
Nestled amid East Cork’s woodlands across 220 acres, Castlemartyr Resort consists of a grand 17th-century country manor house that sits adjacent to the ruins of an 800-year-old castle. From the Knights Templar to Sir Walter Raleigh, Castlemartyr Resort stands as a witness to history. Officially opened for guests in 2008, the grounds and buildings have been magnificently restored and enhanced and include 108 guestrooms and suites as well as 36 residences, many overlooking 17th-century parklands and lakes.

Four-legged guests are well taken care of at Hotel Maximillian, as leading Augsburg pet store, Wuffwelt, is the dedicated doggy supplier for the hotel. Along with offering holistic nutrition and equipment to the hotel, they also provide exclusive stay for pets, including a dog bed, ceramic bowls in the room, and treats. On top of that, a dog bar is available in the lobby of the hotel, and pets have access to all public areas, such as the 3M Bar and Maximillian’s Restaurant.
Constructed between the 14th and 17th centuries, Hotel Maximilian’s history stretches back to a time of great artistic and scientific innovations. The earliest known record of Hotel Maximilian’s dates to the Late Middle Ages, when the building made its grand debut along Augsburg’s Maximilianstraße in 1377. Today, Hotel Maximilian’s offers 132 uniquely furnished guestrooms with luxurious details. Guests are sure to love the hotel and the surrounding area, brimming with history and charm.
