Hip, hip, hooray! Our Business Office Supervisor, Pamela Jones has been with Lake Oconee Eye Care for 5 years.

We celebrated her hard work and dedication with a trip to Greensboro Jewelers. Everyday our office shines a little brighter because of Pamela. We are so thankful to have her as part of our family.

In 1988 Marchon launched the first eyewear collection featuring glasses frames made with "Flexon," a revolutionary titanium composite material that changed the world of eyewear. The unique flexibility of the material results in bendable frames that are lighter, stronger, and more comfortable than other metal frames. Flexon eyeglasses frames return to their original shape, even after accidental bending—making them the most durable metal frames available.

At Lake Oconee Eye Care we offer the latest in Essilor’s lens technology. Did you know Essilor invented the very first progressive lenses in 1959? Since then, they have been constantly pushing the boundaries of innovation to bring you sharp, more natural vision with smooth transitions from near to far offering clearer vision throughout, unlike the distracting lines of a bifocal lens.

Progressive lenses correct more than one vision condition, with the focal power “progressing” from top to bottom without a visible line separating them.

Our Lake Oconee Eye Care team is available to help you learn more about how our multifocal lenses can best fit your needs.

As we get older, our bodies don’t
function as well as they used to, and
that includes our eyes.

However, there’s a lot we can do to keep our eyes healthy, which is why we’d like to take a look at a few of the most common age-related vision and eye problems and what can be done to minimize the risks of developing them.

With the new school year under way, a lot of student athletes are getting back into their sports.

Participating in a sport is thrilling and challenging, but it’s also potentially dangerous. Over 30,000 Americans are treated for sports-related eye injuries in a single year. Fortunately, as many as 90 percent of those eye injuries are preventable, which is where protective eyewear comes in.

Our modern digital devices give us
access to all kinds of useful tools and information…but they’re not great
for our eyes.

All it takes to give us a 90 percent chance of developing digital eye strain is two hours of screen time per day. With so many of us on our devices for much longer than that, especially those who work desk jobs and use the computer all day long, is it any surprise that over ten million patients visit eye doctors for problems related to digital eye strain each year?

Need assistance with an extra pair of frames for your child that loves sports and is always needing a spare pair?
