When making reservations using the online form, in the first line (Member Name), place any member names for whom you are making reservations. The line later in the form (Names of Those Who I Want to Sit With and Names of Guests) is ONLY for making up the seating chart.

The topic for our 2026 Annual Luncheon is a typical day in the life of a woman during the revolutionary period by Dominish Marie Miller, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals Librarian for the Middle District of PA and the founder of Preserving the History of Newberrytown. She also runs the Lewisberry Area History Lovers group and is a founding board member of the Newberrytown Special Event Committee. She serves as librarian and volunteer information specialist chair for the Harrisburg Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Dominish is also a living historian with the 87th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, Company C, where she portrays a Second Corporal. She is the author of two cookbooks and two local history books.
The menu for the buffet from which our caterer will serve us:

If you prefer a vegetarian option, which is ratatouille, you must let Donna Lerew know when you make your reservation.
Bring your used books for the book sale and household items, jewelry, tea sets, etc. for the silent auction. Doors open at 11 a.m. There will be people available to assist with unloading your items.
Parking: No steps at the front entrance.
Mobility: A large parking lot.
Cost: $25, club members; $30, guests/non-members

Forney House Tearoom and B&B

The Forney House is one of the Club's favorite tearooms. Unfortunately, it is for sale, so this may be the last chance you have to visit this tearoom. Diane's food is always delicious and she offers a wide variety of teas.
Built in 1905, this restored house is listed in the Historic Register of Historic places.
Perhaps one of our members is interested in buying the property and continuing the practice of serving afternoon tea. The Club would be happy to support you by coming to tea.
Parking: There is parking on the street and a small parking lot behind tearoom.
Mobility: There are eight steps up to the porch and one step into the tearoom, but no steps in the tearoom. For those unable to do steps, there is an electric chair up to the porch. Notify the tearoom staff when you arrive for assistance.
Cost: $46, club members; $51, guests/non-members

This tearoom is in a Victorian house on the PA-MD line. We visited this tearoom last November and loved the soup. October is a lovely month to drive to Delta and enjoy the changing leaves.

Parking: There is a parking lot behind the tearoom with overflow parking across the street.
Mobility: There are no steps into the tearoom. Please indicate when making your reservations if your mobility prevents you from being seated upstairs.

This quaint country restaurant and retreat is located nine miles west of Gettysburg in a restored 1850s barn. The surrounding area is orchard country with a Knouse processing facility nearby. The food is delicious and plentiful. Music will be provided during the tea. The restaurant carefully plans menus for its teas by gathering as many seasonal recipes as possible with locally sourced and fresh ingredients.
So take a nice fall drive through the countryside and enjoy a tea in this 19th Century barn.
Parking: There is a parking lot.
Mobility: There are no steps but take care with the uneven floorboards.
Cost: $50, club members; $55, guests/non-members

Membership dues for new members and for membership renewals are payable by Jan. 1 of each year.

TEA RESERVATIONS
- Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Emailed reservation requests must be confirmed by the Club before they are considered accepted.
- Please indicate members of your party when making reservations so we can assign seats appropriately to help keep everyone safe.

Do not send payment until your reservation is confirmed.
- After a reservation has been made and confirmed, payment must be received by the Club within 10 days. If it is not received within that time frame, the reservation may be canceled.
- In the memo line of the check, please indicate which tea(s) and date(s) are being paid for.
- Club events are closed 10 days before the event takes place or the date specified in the newsletter.
- Reminder: Seating at tea rooms will begin 15 minutes prior to the tea time listed, unless noted differently in the Mobility section of the tea's description.

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND
If you are unable to attend an event you have reserved, contact Donna Lerew as soon as possible at donnalerew@gmail.com or 717-741-2684. This will allow her time to contact the next person on the waiting list and you may receive a refund. Please, do not give your seat to another person in order to be fair to those on the waiting list.
REFUNDS
Payment for tea reservations is non-refundable, unless cancelled prior to the cutoff date posted in the newsletter or if someone on the waiting list can take the reservation.
Any money from a cancellation will be a credit that can be used for future events. All unused credits will be returned after the last event in December. No refunds or credits of less than $1 will be given.
GUEST POLICY
Guest fee: $5, which is added to the cost of the tea event. If the guest decides to join the Club, the $5 fee will be applied to dues for that calendar year.
