Time to put away the winter coats

Have you brought out your summer clothing and tucked away your winter coats? Last week, all the alpaca and sheep got their summer haircuts! Maxine did too, just a "barrel cut" around her middle! None of them shed, so a summer-ready sharing is vital to their health. Did you know that alpaca fiber is 7 times warmer than sheep wool? Even so - the alpaca are still pretty hot in the summer, and love their bellies hosed down. Volunteer Lori photographed the striking makeover for Belle and Bernard Romney Sheep!

May is Gratitude

May brings our annual appeal to join The Sanctuary Circle, our money donor supporters group. We are truly grateful for our new Circle members, and for the members who took this opportunity to increase their monthly contributions. Each and every donor makes a difference in the lives of the recues. Yesterday, three young siblings presented me with $5 each at the end of the tour, and told me how much they loved their favorite rescue they just met. They, and every one of you - make what we do for the rescues possible!

Nirvana Tea House and Cafe Seasonal Menu

Nirvana Tea House and Cafe has new delicious baked goods for the season, and some upcoming summer entrees to tempt you with plant-based goodness. To expand our hours to include dinner for summer days on the patio, we need to bring on board a new long term TEAm member too - apply or tell a friend! Please welcome our returning summertime TEAm members too - we are so glad to see them. (Unity Farm Sanctuary Shelter Manager Tye is an absolute fan of cinnamon rolls and a new chai coconut version is coming soon!)

Did you know we have Katalyst Kombucha, Bombay Pop, Odyssey Functional Energy and some select Rebel Cheese for sale in the front bakery display refrigerator - give them all a try! There are yummy Equal Exchange chocolate bars, and Tea Jams in The Nirvana Store too.

Coming Soon: we are excited to sell Katherine Head's Buddha Treats!

Click here to register for the Tea Talk June 3 at 7pm with some tea and a baked goodie.

Carol Brown will be sharing an introduction to 'Becoming Plantastic'. Don't live near to the cafe? You can register directly for the 'Becoming Plantastic' Zoom on June 14
