Facebook Live Interview

Hunterdon Health Division
Tuesday, May 1 at 1pm , Tadhgh Rainey, Division Head at Hunterdon County's Health Department and a leading entomologist, will be hosting a Facebook Live interview discussing the invasive East Asian Tick which was first spotted last year at a farm in Hunterdon County.

Mr. Rainey will discuss the scientific practices and methods the division utilizes to track and treat the tick as well as information based on the division's findings.

Tune into Facebook Live, Tuesday, May 1st, to find out the latest findings and how to treat any pets or livestock affected.

Hunterdon County Public Works:
Bridge Closure In Tewksbury
County Bridge T-73 located on Meadow Lane, at the intersection
of Rockaway Road and 8/10 of a mile from Bissel Road, in the Township of Tewksbury, will be closed for approximately
4-5 weeks for Emergency Priority Repairs.
There will be signs regarding a detour posted.
N.J. BPU Public Hearing
in Hunterdon County

The meeting is open to the public.

The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities will be holding a public hearing with regard to the major storm events of March, 2018 and the response by utility companies, on Friday, May 4, at 4 pm, at the Sergeantsville Volunteer Fire Company, 761 Sergeantsville Road, Sergeantsville. The meeting is open to the public.

Freeholder Director Matt Holt announced, “In 2012, the BPU issued 38 recommendations for improvements in a report that was in response to the outages and other issues during Hurricane Irene in August, 2011. The members of the Freeholder Board are very interested in learning about the status of those recommendations from six years ago. I will be encouraging the BPU to address those recommendations."
