About Air Force IT Day

Air Force IT Day will offer you an outstanding opportunity to learn first hand about the difficult challenges facing our Air Force and how IT capabilities can play a major role in meeting those challenges. 

This is a rare opportunity for you to hear first hand from distinguished Air Force leaders about their vision for the future, the shortfalls of their current capabilities, cyberspace warfare directions and requirements, their plans for executing the cyberspace mission, emerging technologies they need, their acquisition strategies, and specific programs of direct interest to IT professionals.

Lt. Gen. Janet C. Wolfenbarger Military Deputy, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition

Lt. Gen. Wolfenbarger is responsible for research and development, test, production, and modernization of Air Force programs worth more than $40 billion annually. The general served as the F-22 Lead Program Element Monitor at the Pentagon, and was the B-2 System Program Director for the Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. She commanded ASC's C-17 Systems Group, Mobility Systems Wing. She additionally served as the Service's Director of the Air Force Acquisition Center of Excellence at the Pentagon, then as Director of the Headquarters AFMC Intelligence and Requirements Directorate, Wright-Patterson AFB. Prior to her current assignment, General Wolfenbarger was the Vice Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson AFB.
