We want to thank Joe for all his marvelous work he has done here at JWUMC. He will be truly missed but we wish him and Bill luck in their new home of Portugal.

DINING FOR A CAUSE!

TONIGHT head on over to Stir Crazy at 570 Macarthur Blvd, Pocasset, MA (508-564-6464) from 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM for Take Out or Dine In and 20% of your bill will be donated to the Upper Cape Chaplaincy!

The Upper Cape Chaplaincy works with residents, patients, families, and staff at local healthcare facilities. Chaplains serve beyond the walls of the church. They are invited to listen to churched and unchurched people who are hurting, turning challenging moments into times of hope. Our chaplains serve patients of all faiths and denominations.

Come join us for the second year in a row, the amazing Boston Eastern Heritage Chorus! They will be here at JWUMC on May 31st 3:00 - 4:00 PM for an amazing FREE concert featuring our very own JW Choir! There will also be a reception after the concert.

On behalf of the Falmouth Walk Committee I want to thank John Wesley for the Silver Sponsorship for the 2025 Walk that will take place on Saturday August 16th. Last year the Committee distributed $60,000.00 to 10 local non-profits. Registration is now opened so I encourage you to visit the Falmouth Walk website and register early to ensure you receive a walk t-shirt. The JW logo will be on 900 shirts with your increased sponsorship level. Last year we had a great JW turnout and hope we see an increase in this year’s participation. If you have any questions feel free to reach out Kate or Brent.

JWUMC Community Herb Pot

What's the big blue pot in the front of the church? 

We are starting a community herb pot to be shared by church members. If you have an herb at home that you can divide, bring it in by Sunday, May 25th and set it by the pot. 

If you are at the Plant Sale, consider buying an extra herb and donating it to the effort. We will plant and water them for you. If we get too many for the large, we may plant in additional pots around the church and/or donate the extras to members of our Community Garden.

Changing our World for May is John Q. Coffee Break, Inc.

Joe Q Veteran Coffee Break, Inc. is an all-inclusive, nonprofit Veteran organization in Falmouth, Massachusetts located at the old Senior Center on Dillingham Ave. They represent all branches of the military and members of the community with a connection to service in the military. Joe Q Veteran Coffee Break is working to improve quality of life for those that served and those who support them. More than meeting for coffee, the JQVCB mission is to build an all-inclusive community where, in collaboration with local military support organizations and community partners, all Veterans and their families can find fellowship, targeted and effective services, and a wide variety of programs.
