As we enter Holy Week, we invite you to move at a different pace. These are not just days to remember, but days to walk differently— to follow Jesus from a table of friends to the garden, from his trial to the cross, and toward the quiet mystery of what comes next. This week asks something of us: Attention. Presence. A willingness to sit with everything that comes with it, love, grief, truth and hope.
To make space for that, we ask teams and committees not to hold any meetings outside of Bible Studies or worship, unless it is absolutely necessary. Not because the work of the church stops, but because this is the work: to pray, to reflect, to notice, to prepare our hearts. Whatever you decide to do this week— we invite you to enter it wholeheartedly.

Maundy Thursday Potluck - Sign Up
April 2nd @ 6PM
On this night, we remember the way of Jesus. Before the suffering on the cross, before the silence of the tomb, he breaks bread with his friends, he washes their feet, pouring out his love for them. We will gather as they did—around a common table, with food to share and to hear the ancient story. In the midst of our meal, we will receive Holy Communion and remember that Jesus meets us every time we come together. Bring a dish. Bring your whole self. Come and take your place at the table, where love is given freely and no one is turned away. Join us also on Good Friday as we continue the story.
Please register online or at the connection desk.

Good Friday Service April 3rd, 6:30–7:30 PM
We will continue the story on Good Friday. This is the night when the way of Jesus leads to the cross. We will not rush past it. We cannot soften it. We will gather to tell the truth about suffering—about the weight of injustice, the wounds we carry, the silence that so often surrounds our pain, and even the hopes we carry. We will remember that Jesus does not stand at a distance from any of it. He enters it. He bears it. Through prayer, Scripture, Song, and quiet acts of response, we will hold space for grief, for confession, and for the hope we carry that refuses to disappear. Come as you are. There is room here for your questions, your sorrow, and your longing.
All are welcome!

Easter Sunday - 6:00AM at Nobska and 10:00AM at John Wesley Church
The morning came. What begins in grief turns to fear, then to astonishment… and finally to joy. On Easter morning, we will hear again the good news from Matthew 28: Jesus is not dead. We will gather not just to celebrate resurrection as something that once happened, but as something still unfolding. We are called again and again—to become the body of Christ’s in the world, to walk the path toward renewed life, and toward liberation. Come as you are as we make our way together.
The tomb is empty.
The journey is not over.

Trustees Security Update
The Trustees have installed an audible alarm system in the Narthex with units located next to the mailboxes outside the church office and in the short hallway near the coat closet and the restrooms. These alarms are triggered by one of six remotes that will be positioned in key areas of the church. Each remote has a call button that triggers the alarm and a cancel button which turns off the alarm. The alarm does not call the police or fire department - that has to be done separately. If an alarm is accidentally triggered (someone bumps into it), it can be disabled by unplugging the unit. We are working with a team of church members who are developing protocols for maintaining church security. We will introduce these once they are completed.
