Just a reminder: Angels in Action are continuing to collect supplies on behalf of Another Act of Kindness (AAK) to create care kits, consisting of items such as chapstick, bottled water, hand lotion, gum, adult coloring books, colored pencils or crayons, playing cards, and $5 coffee gift cards. These kits are part of the Code Lavender initiative at Aultman Hospital and are distributed to families waiting in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as an act of comfort and support. Items can be brought to the February Membership Meeting, or dropped off to The Aultman Foundation office, located at 6512 Whipple Ave. NW in North Canton.
Founded by member Michele Maas and her husband, Jonathan, AAK is a non-profit organization dedicated to organized acts of kindness. The inspiration for the organization arose from Jonathan's 80-day hospitalization at Aultman Hospital due to COVID in November 2020, with 47 of those days spent on a ventilator.
