Movies and Caramel
Two old guys, Fred and Sam, went to the movies. A few minutes after the movie started, Fred heard Sam rustling around and searching on the floor under his seat.
"What the heck are you doing?" whispered Fred annoyingly.
Sam, a little grumpy by this time, replied, "I had a caramel in my mouth and it dropped out. I can't find the darn thing."
Exasperated, Fred told him to just forget about it because it would be too dirty to eat by now.
"But I've GOT to find it..." Sam declared, "my teeth are in it!"

We're Delighted to Hear from Families About Our Exceptional Care!
A Satisfied Client's Review:
"We hired Visiting Angels for my mom; it was excellent. The aide that they had come was really good...she was just spending time with my mom being here, making sure she was safe because she was in a wheelchair, helping her bathe, and changing her bed. When I [first] called Visiting Angels, they went over and above getting someone to come to my mom. It was over the holiday, and it was last minute, so that was really excellent. I had good communications with the lady who did the scheduling; she worked really hard to find somebody with pretty short notice. I have also suggested them to other people that I know. They did an all-around excellent job."

Angels Who Soar: Celebrating Our Hardworking Employees
We are so proud of our wonderful, hard-working employees who go beyond the call of duty. Read why our Angels are so special...
Shirley P. is an experienced, caring, hard-working professional who has been working for Visiting Angels since November 2019. She has been consistent with accurately clocking in/out and is always on time for her assignments. Shirley is also diligent in completing her duty sheets and handing them into the office in a timely manner. She has a very pleasant and personable personality and loves to talk! Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, she is meticulous about keeping things cleaned and disinfected. We appreciate that she is willing and eager to take assignments that are farther in distance from her home.
Shirley M. is a dedicated live-in Angel who has been with us since March 2017. Shirley consistently provides good care to our client, even when having to wake up in the middle of the night to attend to our client's needs. She communicates well with the nursing staff and is invariably appreciative, receptive, and professional. Shirley regularly turns in her required duty sheets each week and communicates any changes in client status to the Office through the Notes section on the duty sheets. She faithfully adheres to our live-in time off policy. We value the experience Shirley brings to our team!
We are grateful for you and thank you for your hard work, Shirley and Shirley!

What's Happening at Visiting Angels
Celebrating Visiting Angels' Nursing Team
We honor our team of nurses during National Nurses Week! We are happy to announce that our team is headed by our new Director of Nursing, Petrina. Presently, Petrina works from her home office every day, performing multiple state accreditation tasks, training employees, calling clients, overseeing our field RN team, and attending daily staff video meetings, among many other essential duties. Our Nursing Supervisors--Tammy, Elizabeth, and Laureen--are the faces our clients and caregiver employees will see most. They will soon be back out in the field performing client assessments, creating care plans, supervising and evaluating our CHHA employees, and much more.
Thank you, Petrina, Tammy, Elizabeth, and Laureen!

Mask Heroes To Our Rescue!
Due to the extreme shortage of disposable face masks, we reached out to two AMAZING Facebook groups for help--
Sewing Face Masks for NJ and
Mercer Mask Project. Each group donated practical and beautiful fabric masks for our caregivers to use. We so appreciate these faithful seamstresses and seamsters who are doing a fabulous service for the NJ healthcare community!
