Her Best Shot
Mildred works as a pediatric nurse, and she often has the painful job of giving shots to children.
One day, as Mildred entered the examining room to give a shot to a young girl, the little girl immediately starting screaming, "NO! NO! NO!"
"Jessica," her mother scolded, "that is not polite behavior!"
At that comment, the girl continued to scream, "NO THANK YOU! NO THANK YOU! NO THANK YOU!"

Tyroid and Aging
Aging is a normal process the body goes through, but not all of the symptoms that are frequently attributed to the normal aging process should be directly connected to aging--some may be associated with other illnesses such as hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism.

Angels Who Soar: Celebrating Our Hardworking Employees
We are so proud of our wonderful, hard-working employees who go beyond the call of duty. Below is why our Angels are so special...
Gloria A. has been one of our outstanding live-in caregiver employees for over 11 years. She has continually met and exceeded our clients' expectations through the years. She is patient, understanding when things don't go as planned, and flexible. Her caring professionalism has turned prospective live-in clients--who were initially hesitant about having someone living with them--into clients who are happy for her company.
Inora L. has been one of our loyal Angels since 2014. Inora is hard-working, punctual, and consistently turns in the required Duty Sheets each week. She is always willing to accept new assignments with pleasure and rarely calls out. Clients and staff alike appreciate her pleasant, quiet, reflective personality.
We are grateful for you and thank you for your hard work, Gloria and Inora!

What's Happening at Visiting Angels
Celebrating Visiting Angels' Nursing Team
We honor our team of nurses during National Nurses Week! Our team is headed by our Director of Nursing, Arleen. Arleen works tirelessly in our office every day, performing multiple state accreditation tasks, training employees, calling clients, and overseeing our field RN team, among other essential duties. Our Nursing Supervisors--Jackie, Emily, and Daniyel--are the faces our clients and caregiver employees see most, as they are out in the field performing client assessments, creating care plans, supervising and evaluating our CHHA employees, and much more.
Thank you, Arleen, Jackie, Emily, and Daniyel!

About Our Care
Visiting Angels
is a New Jersey-licensed, non-medical home care company committed to going beyond the "industry standard" to provide an exceptional level of security, comfort and peace of mind to our clients and their families. Our "Angels", all
certified home health professionals
, are ready to provide assistance with the activities of daily living to seniors, the disabled, those recovering from surgery, and to those who are simply frail. Our
services
include tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and shopping, to more personal tasks such as hygiene assistance, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Visiting Angels
' in-home care helps make it possible for seniors and other adults to continue living at home safely. We understand how challenging the home care selection process can be. We're experienced in working with families, with loved ones resistant to receiving care, and with third-parties payors (such as insurance companies and the US Dept. of Veterans Affairs).
Visiting Angels' services
help families spend more mutually-rewarding and meaningful time with their loved ones and also helps provide comfort and peace of mind to those who face the challenges of long-distance caregiving.
