It is hard to believe Jungle Friends has been in
Gainesville for 20 years! Jungle Friends began in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1997. However, monkeys are built for hot, humid climates, and the desert was not ideal. Although, I had never been to Florida, Alachua County was chosen. Gainesville was not only a more suitable climate, but there's more land for hurricanes to travel over before reaching Jungle Friends than further south.
I arrived in Gainesville in March 1999 with 13 monkeys, and now we are the largest New World primate sanctuary in the U.S. with over 300 monkeys who live an "Almost Wild" life. We are only able to provide refuge to these monkeys because of YOU -- so come and help us celebrate!
We have two ticket options - $75.00 for the event, or $125.00 for the event and a private sanctuary tour at your convenience.
I hope you will join us as we celebrate this momentous occasion. Thank you for the last 20 memorable years!
