SADDLE UP AND READ!
Challenge Accepted!
|
|
|
Our October Scholastic Book Fair began with a bang and a western theme on October 5. ELCA cowboys and cowgirls came riding to the library to round up some good books.
Among the horses, cattle, and wagons we were able to find many of our WANTED books and WANTED cowboys. It was hard to tell which was more in demand.
Thanks for supporting the ELCA libraries!

ELCA Fund Update
Thanks to each of our families who have supported our school through contributions and pledges to this year’s ELCA Fund. As you know, the ELCA Fund is our primary method to support our school outside of tuition and fees, and donations can be designated for Excellence (our unrestricted giving fund) and/or Families Helping Families (which provides tuition assistance to families with a demonstrated financial need).
There are numerous ways to give, which are detailed below:
- Give by check or cash: print the Donor Form and return to the ELCA Advancement Office along with your donation made payable to ELCA.
- Charge your donation to your student account: print this form and return to the ELCA Advancement Office.
Please join the over
42%
of our ELCA families who have contributed or pledged this year! A higher family giving percentage best positions our school to receive support from outside foundations. All gifts are tax deductible as allowed by law, and are utilized to enhance the educational and enrichment opportunities of our students. Please contact
Vickie Floyd
or
Al Hosford
in the Advancement Office with any questions.

ELCA wishes to congratulate Class of 2016 alumni, Jacob Luke and Joshua Wallace for gaining entrance into the UGA Terry College of Business to pursue their major in Management Information Systems.
Terry Business College is ranked in the top 50 business schools in the nation.
Management Information Systems (MIS) is a hands-on major which equips students with real-world skills that are in demand in the job market. This program prepares students to lead IT-enabled change in organizations
.
The UGA MIS program is ranked 16th in the nation. Job placement is at an impressive 97% for all Terry grads within 3 months of graduation. MIS careers offer the largest starting salary, on average, of all the Terry programs. This year was also the most competitive/selective year for acceptance, with more applicants than they’ve ever had and just over 50% of applicants accepted.
Congratulations, Jacob and Josh!

Christian College Fair
|
On
Tuesday,
October 24
ELCA will be hosting the
National Christian College Fair
from 10 am to 12 pm in the school gymnasium. All of our students in grades 9-12 will have the opportunity to attend
if they pre-register
. Students may pre-register at
www.myblueprintstory.com
in the top right corner where you see “Get Your Barcode.” Students will present their ticket to their 3
rd
or 4
th
period teacher to be released from class.
The fair will include two financial aid workshops to help families understand why they should not rule out an education at a Christian college and what resources are available to them. For that reason, we invite parents to participate as well. Parents do not need to pre-register.
