Update Your Contact Info with Health First Colorado

You have likely heard that, starting in 2027, some Medicaid members will have to show that they have met work requirements to stay eligible for Medicaid.

If you are a current Health First Colorado (Medicaid) member, you will receive a notice from Health First Colorado in August that says whether you must comply with work requirements. Because of this, it is important to make sure that Health First Colorado has your correct, up-to-date contact information.

You can update your contact info online or through your county department of human services. To check or update your information with Health First Colorado, click here.

Share Why Public Education Matters to You

When students with disabilities get a quality public education, they gain the tools they need to pursue their future goals and lead an independent life. Without it, they face higher rates of poverty, unemployment, poor health, and social isolation.

Education is the foundation for independence, inclusion, and a future with choices.

Congress has already passed laws that threaten public education.

  • A new national private school voucher program diverts funding away from public schools, which serve 95% of students with disabilities.
  • Deep Medicaid cuts could reduce vital school-based services and supports, including early intervention, assistive technology, and therapies.

Share your story to help Congress understand why they must act to protect public education for students with disabilities! Through The Arc of the United States, you can contact your representatives directly with your story. Click here to contact Congress.

Webinar: How to Do an IEP Document Review

Learn what to look for when reviewing your child's IEP! Below, we're passing on the details from the PACER Center about an upcoming webinar for parents:

Is your child's Individualized Education Program (IEP) tailored to their individual needs? Parents and guardians are invited to join us for this workshop where they will explore the process of doing a special education document review. It will include pointers on how to read the evaluation report and the IEP with an emphasis on the importance of progress reports. Understanding how these documents work together can help build confidence that a child’s IEP is meeting their needs or clarify areas of concern that can be discussed in an IEP team meeting.

When: April 21st, 11:00am Mountain Time
