PEO Columbia Chapter Tour: Boeckman Road Corridor – October 26, Monday

PEO Columbia Chapter Members and Friends,

Join us on Monday, October 26 at 4:30 PM for an engineering tour of the Boeckman Road Corridor Project and the related Boeckman Creek Flow Mitigation Project in Wilsonville.

The Boeckman Road project was recognized as a 2025 APWA Oregon Public Works Project of the Year for transportation projects over $25 million. The broader program combined seven Capital Improvement Projects into one, including bridge, roadway, sanitary sewer, utility, intersection, and environmental improvements along one of Wilsonville’s major east-west corridors.

At its center is a new three-span bridge over Boeckman Creek, with steel foundations extending approximately 110 feet. The project also provides an interesting example of Progressive Design-Build delivery. 

The City is now completing the related $4.4 million Boeckman Creek Flow Mitigation Project. The work addresses drainage changes dating to development in the early 1980s and includes stormwater improvements, culvert removal, excavation beneath the new bridge and stream restoration. Removal of the existing dam and fill will reconnect miles of upstream and downstream fish habitat. 

PEO Columbia Chapter member Brie Galareaux, an Associate Engineer with the City of Wilsonville, will help host our tour of the project area.

Meet: Wilsonville City Hall, 29799 Town Center Loop E, Wilsonville

We’ll carpool from City Hall because parking near the bridge is limited, then take a short walk over the bridge and project area. 

After the tour (~6:00 PM): Join us for an informal PEO social at Norte Taproom, 9749 SW Barber St., Wilsonville.  Please feel encouraged to join the social event even if you can’t attend the tour.
