Muffins with Mom Open Play

5 Odana Ct, Madison

Mom meetup at 4-C! Bring your littles and connect with other moms over muffins at 4-C. All caregivers welcome! Learn about all the resources our Family Resource Center (FRC) has to offer and play in our Play Room!

This is a drop-in event, but registration is greatly appreciated to help us provide enough muffins! Register here.

Play and Learn every third Wednesday at 4-C is a facilitated play group for kiddos ages 0-5 around a given theme!

Storytime

Storytime at 4-C is a blend of reading together, singing songs, and fun activities related to what we read!

After Storytime, children enjoy parent/caregiver-supervised play time in the 4-C Play Room. Registration is not required for this event.

Car Seat Safety Checks at 4-C

Children's car seats can be complicated, but they are crucially important to child safety! Correctly installing and understanding your child's car seat keeps them safe. If you're overwhelmed by this, the wonderful Myra can help you out at a 1:1 appointment! We offer a variety of services for this program:

Drive over with your car seats already installed, and Myra can check that they are correct.
Have a new car seat you want installed? Myra can do it for you.

To participate, we need information from you about your car, car seats, age of children, and more! After you submit the form on our website, Myra will contact you to set up an appointment. (She will have some capacity to do this around our other 4-C programs, but appointments must be scheduled in advance!)

The Family Center of Edgewood University

A community based, affordable outpatient mental health center and the training site for Edgewood University's Marriage and Family Therapy Graduate Program.

We impact the community by providing affordable, high quality mental health care and by training students for ethical leadership in our field. We embrace and treasure diversity and build community through a commitment to inclusion. We facilitate student learning with a strengths-based model in order to support futures of meaningful service.

Feelings Matter

This strength includes showing kids how to recognize and manage feelings, solve problems, build positive relationships, take turns, listen, and be kind.

Strengths in Action

There are no right answers. Thinking about these questions can help you understand your family’s strengths.

You help your child understand her anxiety and explore whether something is causing these feelings, or they are present all the time.

Instead of getting impatient, you try to connect with your child, bending down to their level and letting them know that you understand that they are upset.

Located at the 4-C office building, the 4-C Resource Room is a warm, welcoming environment filled with a variety of developmentally appropriate materials and resources to support early childhood professionals in their mission to provide quality early care and education, as well as welcoming families to borrow materials for fun at home! All materials are free to borrow.
