Dear Heart of the City Friends,
We are really excited to finally be bringing our own Heart of the City Band back to Music Factory for a concert this Saturday night! This is only the 2nd time we've performed in our own venue since we opened it in 2018! We're going to have a great night of exciting, diverse music and stories from this great group of musicians! We hope you will come out and join us!
Sandy and I started Heart of the City way back in 1996! To lead this ministry forward, we put together the intentionally multi-ethnic, Heart of the City Band. The band members have changed over the years, but for these 27 years, we have performed hundreds of concerts for tens of thousands of people in many different settings. In the context of an increasingly divisive society, we have been determined to model what we call, "Biblical unity", across ethnic and denominational lines through the diverse members of our band and the diverse styles of music that we perform. We have recorded 8 CD's of original music with styles including, Gospel, Reggae, Bossa Nova, Salsa, Merengue, Native American, East Indian Bhangra, Hymns, Rock, Jazz and Modern worship.
