Dear Friends:

As the seasons transition, so do the aspirations of the APEX Leadership Institute and our community. I am thrilled to share the resounding success of our inaugural leadership summit at Rocky Vista University- Montana College of Osteopathic Medicine, Montana's pioneering medical school, that ignited the flames of inspiration, community, and empathy among over 75 participants.

Guided by our core mission and values, we came together to harness the power of APEX, unlocking new dimensions of understanding, growth, and innovation:

Accelerate Innovation: Our community resolutely embraced creative thinking and experimentation in an ever-changing world. APEX champions the spirit of innovation, daring us to explore novel pathways to tackle the challenges that bind us. From lively discussions to groundbreaking insights, our conference fostered an environment where unconventional ideas flourished, setting the stage for a brighter future.

Power of Community: We created a network of leaders united by a shared goal: to uplift each other and our communities. APEX meticulously strengthened connections and combined a tapestry of support, learning, and collaboration. Just as Rocky Vista University served as a gracious host, we embraced the communal spirit that binds us, enhancing our collective strength to forge ahead.

Empathy Leadership Trait: Empathy is the cornerstone of transformative leadership. Our summit keynote speaker Stephen Long's illuminating teachings resonated deeply, urging us to listen, understand, and connect with the hearts of those we lead. The empathy leadership trait blossomed through impactful conversations, fostering an environment where compassion took center stage. As we immersed ourselves in the stories of our diverse attendees, we cultivated a more prosperous and inclusive community.

Excellence in Leadership: APEX relentlessly pursues excellence in our endeavors and nurtures leaders. Our summit stood as a testament to this pursuit, with the APEX co-founders, Melanie Schwarz, Jennifer Reiser, Shelby Jo Long, and me, embodying excellence through our contributions. By setting uncompromising standards for ourselves and our communities, we are paving the way for a legacy of remarkable leadership that propels us into the future.

As the dawn of a new chapter begins, I am excited to embark on our Leadership Mastery Series where we will address the evolving needs of our leaders and communities and propel them toward a future marked by resilience and triumph.

In times of change, the presence of a coach and partner is invaluable. The APEX Leadership Institute is an unwavering guide, leading and facilitating change with wisdom and fortitude. Together, we continue our journey, fueled by the promise of brighter days and unending possibilities.

Thank you for your enduring commitment to our shared vision. With the APEX Leadership Institute lighting the way, we stand poised to shape a future that promises prosperity for all.

MY NEW BOOK

When the Cows Lie Down: The Reason People Quit YOU, Their "Leader"

My NEW book explores good and bad quitting. It also focuses on why people are quietly quitting—leaving the workforce, avoiding office environments, and giving up on social aspects of work. By understanding the reasons behind quietly quitting, you can leverage that knowledge to your advantage.

There are times, however, when quitting becomes essential for success, health, and raising your game. There are also moments when people quit YOU, their leaders—times when the cows lie down, so to speak.
