Trying To Control Being Valued

The November Women's Leadership Retreat®

Spent two of the 3 days taking about the issue of CONTROL and MORTALITY.

I asked them to answer the question what do you try to control? You can imagine what the answers were, probably the same answers you would say. It was a great discussion and thanks to all who attended for the conversation.

One of the Women spoke about trying to control being valued. In other words trying to control if others value you or not and at what level they value you.

I had never heard that one before but it makes sense for so many of you. So much of your activity at work is centered around am I valued and what can I do to be valued more?

Let me be clear you cannot control how others value you. You can only control how much you value yourself! The question really is:

How much do you Value you?

During this Holiday season do you value you or do you take you for granted and underestimate the impact of your contributions to your family and to your work?

Take some time this month to ponder that. I promise It will be worth your while.
