Spring is Here!

Happy Spring, everyone! With the long, dark, cold winter days now behind us, we can prepare to welcome Spring’s arrival with bright smiles. Perhaps cleaning out your garage or attic is on your checklist, or maybe it’s time to go through your closet and get rid of a few old outfits.

But don’t forget the other type of spring cleaning. When was the last time your child came in for thorough dental exam? Visiting our office every six months will protect their developing teeth and prevent early tooth decay. Is it time for your little one(s) or teen to come in?

Celebrating 2 Years

The month of March also marks the work anniversary of two of our Dental Assistants, Michelle and Alanna. Both of these skilled women have been helping our team care for your children for two years. We are very fortunate to have them on our team. To celebrate, we will treat them to lunch and cake. (And yes, they will be sure to brush their teeth well after eating their dessert!)

Manual or Electric Toothbrush?

We are often asked by parents if we prefer or recommend either manual or electric toothbrushes. In March’s new blog, we highlight the advantages and disadvantages of both manual and electric options. Read about our findings backed by research on our website and stay tuned for our next blog on how to motivate children to brush their teeth regularly.

For younger children such as toddlers, we recommend giving them an age appropriate toothbrush so they can experiment while you use a separate one on them to do the brushing. Brush your teeth together and in front of them. Play some music, invent a catchy song, make it your own and have some fun!
