Dr. Park is an associate professor in the Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology in the Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging at the University of Virginia. He received his MD and completed his radiology residency and interventional radiology fellowship training at the Kyungpook National University/Hospital in South Korea. He completed additional vascular and interventional radiology fellowship training at the University of Michigan Medical Center in 2005-2006. After his fifteen-year career as an interventional radiologist, Dr. Park joined the UVA interventional radiology group in 2009.

Dr. Park’s primary clinical and research focus centers around embolotherapy, benign and malignant biliary obstructions, congenital vascular anomalies and lymphatic interventions. He is one of the few specialists in the world who can treat arteriovenous malformations safely with dehydrated alcohol. Dr. Park is very engaged with teaching younger generations and has served as a mentor to many premedical and medical students who are interested in the vascular and interventional radiology field.
