Dear Precinct 2 Community,

During this pandemic each of us has perhaps experienced inconvenience or discomfort. Some of us are enduring all out suffering and significant loss; of life, income, and other critical resources. Growing up, and for many reasons I won’t share right now, I became well acquainted with loss and going without. I still remember the anxiety of wondering if there would be enough food or food at all. I remember the physical discomfort of being hungry for longer than the next meal or going hungry for the next day or series of days even.

Food desserts and food insecurity were major challenges  before  COVID-19 and access to food is in more need now. Eating regularly and the healthiest meals possible are ways to keep you as healthy as possible.

Thankfully, organizations and charities all across Southeast Tarrant County have come together to ensure that our community continues to have food on our tables.

See the list below for food distribution sites throughout Precinct 2 and sites open to those in need.

There may be many things you have to go without right now, please don’t go without food.
Stay Safe,
Devan
