Time to Relax for the Holiday Season!
Since this is a time of year when many business owners wind down and take a break from work, we thought we’d share a few apps that may help enhance your celebrations! (Be sure to scroll all the way down for this week's #MotivationalQuoteChallenge and to get registered for the programs that are coming up soon!)

Holiday Apps to Brighten Your Holiday Season

Who doesn’t love Christmas music? The Christmas Radio app provides over 80 Christmas stations and multiple genres and is free on all devices!

If you are in charge of cooking for the first time this year because your family celebration is virtual, try the free Project Foodie app. They offer “obsessively detailed videos” from a professional chef who assumes everyone is a beginner, but photos of the finished products look pretty impressive! Another app that is often on “best” lists for menu planning is called Tasty. You can customize it to your taste and easily search for recipes that are vegetarian, gluten-free, low-carb, etc.

Running late on sending out holiday cards? Try Punchbowl, which lets you send free and festive virtual greeting cards on iOS and Android devices. Bonus: they added a new feature that lets you include a personalized video with your message!

Suffering from Zoom fatigue? Try using Houseparty, a free app for virtual face-to-face social get-togethers. Another option, if your friends and family use Facebook – and even if they don’t – is Messenger Rooms. This service lets you chat for free with up to 50 people! If your house is messy, you can use virtual backgrounds.

If you are not tired of Zoom, they are allowing free, unlimited meetings for Christmas, the New Year and the last days of Kwanzaa. According to their blog, these are the dates and times for unlimited meetings:
  • 10 a.m. ET Wednesday, Dec. 23, to 6 a.m. ET Saturday, Dec. 26
  • 10 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Dec. 30, to 6 a.m. ET on Saturday, Jan. 2
