Greetings!
The Library Festival is back! Better than ever!
And it has something for adults, teens, children, everyone!
That's right, this Saturday, from 11 am to 4 pm, in
Church Square Park
It's the Hoboken Public Library's Festival!
"Pumpkins & Pages"
From a Harvest Time Show by The Propbox Players that kids are going to love, and a fascinating talk by bestselling novelist Jason Pinter, to the hilarious portraits being done by a caricaturist in the Teen Tent, this festival is for everyone.
There's no better time than now to celebrate together. The autumn weather will be perfect (amazing!), the sun will be out, and the celebration happens in one of the best places in the Mile Square City: Church Square Park. And it comes right in the middle of our Library Card Sign-Up campaign, which has been very popular since we started giving out our new Baby Yoda Library Cards!
There's a Book Sale, too!
One feature of the library festival is the ever-popular Book Sale, run by the Library's Friends and Foundation groups. Proceeds from these sales underwrite the monthly Family FUNDays the Library’s Children’s Department runs. Given that the Friends have been collecting book donations, but until recently were unable to sell because of the COVID pandemic, they have
a lot of great items to offer.
In addition to the Book Sale, there are tents devoted to Local Authors & Poets, Literacy & Life Skills, Arts & Crafts, and activities for Teens.
The Big Tent is where most scheduled events take place. It all starts at 11:
-
Special address by Hoboken Mayor Bhalla, at 11:40
-
The Mentalist, Denny More, at 12 pm: For All Ages
Sign Up for a Library Card at the Welcome Tent at the park entrance at Fifth Street and Park Avenue. Here you can get information on all the events at the festival.
The Teen Tent will have a Caricature Artist from 11 am to 1 pm, as well as Tarot Card Readings from 2 to 4.
AND this is where you can enter the Pumpkin & Pages Raffle Drawing
for your chance to win a prize.
The Literacy & Life Skills Tent is a one-stop information resource to pick up information about the Library’s extensive range of life-long learning programs and services -- including ESL classes! -- available to you free from your library.

Pumpkins & Pages being held on the north side of Church Square Park, while the Hoboken Green Fair is being held concurrently on the south side, making this a truly community-wide festival.
A note about accessibility: We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including those with disabilities, to engage fully. Church Square Park is a generally level surface, and curb-cuts at all street intersections facilitate access to the park.

We'll see you at Church Square Park on Saturday!
