The M3-LS-1.8-6 linear smart stage, our smallest all-in-one microstage, has 20 g load capacity and 6 mm travel.

Add high-resolution lens motion, with excellent dynamic stability, to the smallest embedded optical systems in handheld and portable instruments. Each module is a complete closed-loop motion solution - including embedded controller  - and requires no more space than a typical fixed lens mount.
Highest dynamic stability
The M3-FS focus module has superior dynamic stability to minimze pixel shift with changing camera orientation. Fits lenses up to M16.

Economical precision
The original M3-F focus module remains an economical choice for fixed camera positions. Fits lenses up to M12.   

Rotary smart stages and beam steering kits

With M3-RS-U smart stages for beam steering and mirror positioning, you get a familiar galvo-scanner form factor with a drastically smaller size.
360 degree continuous rotation
The M3-RS-U-360 Rotary Smart Stage is only 12 mm diameter with the controller inside.

The M3-RS-U smart stage is available in one-axis and two-axis kits for beam steering.

Developing a multiprobe manipulator system
Embedded motion modules enable fast development of a precise, compact probe positioning system 

A neuroscience researcher successfully used M3-LS Linear Smart Stage assemblies for positioning of probes during in-vivo recording. New Scale engineers then collaborated on an integrated multi-probe positioning assembly to meet the needs of this market.  

The new system allows researchers to position multiple probes with high precision, in a very compact space. The use of M3 modules enabled the team to create the new system in only a few months.
