Man, it is c-c-c-c-c-cold out there. For the first time this season, I got my Elmer Fudd hat out of storage. Those ears sure get cold. As freezing as we feel in the city, thank goodness we are not up in the Catskills right now (or maybe you are ?) where it was -6 this morning. Can't we all work from a beach someplace nice and warm?
We have our BIG Guerrilla Gay Bar event tomorrow night. The color code is RED and we will be visiting a douchy frat bar in Hells Kitchen. I love to make new friends! We just announced the location but you have to rsvp to get that info (will be sent to you via your confirmation email). Speaking of this event, did you read the really great article that Edge New York did on this monthly event. Read it here.
Stay warm!!
Yours Truly,
Hugh and TheMenEvent Team |

Guerrilla Gay Bar NY (GGBNY)
TOMORROW 1/25, 6-9pm
Color Code: Red
Venue: Secret location in Hells Kitchen. Trick is, you need to rsvp to get the venue name and address (it will be included in your confirmation email.
Register: http://ggbnyjan2013.eventbrite.com/
What is GUERRILLA GAY BAR NY?GUERRILLA GAY BAR NY (GGBNY) is a combination of flashmob and the French Revolution. Only much, much gayer (Fewer decapitations and less powdered wigs). Once a month, we will take over one of the straightest bars we can find in NYC. We won't tell them we're coming - we just show up - by the hundreds - and make ourselves at home. What do I wear? At the event - keep an eye out for fellow GGBNY comrades who will be wearing the color code of the month (the color is RED - wear a red shirt, red tie, red pocket square, red hat, red scarf, red sweater - you get the idea). The more red we see - the bigger the Guerrilla army. It will help the straights know we are there and invading their space. WHY DO THIS? Field trip! And, to show the straight community our community and encourage them to support diversity. |

"What Leaves the Wind Has Laid"
Saturday, January 26 at 7:30pm
Lyrics, story and music by Justin Vahala; performed by Justin Vahala and Paul Leopold. The story of two men whose paths cross in an enchanted bathhouse hovering in the liminal space where past, present, guilt, and bacchanalian abandon converge. This conceptual concert explores themes of redemption, hedonism, and the gaps in memory as it seeks to create a different future in a suspended world. After the short 30-minute show, stick around to hear Justin play a few new songs of a (slightly) less dystopian nature.
