Four industry experts will be sharing their experiences over the past six months while highlighting the importance of early involvement in managing soils both on and offsite.

Matthew Gardner B.Sc. (Hons.), LL.B., is a Partner and Certified Specialist in Environmental Law by the Law Society of Ontario at Willms & Shier Environmental Lawyers LLP.  Matthew practices environmental law and environmental litigation. He provides advice and solutions about environmental due diligence and compliance to a wide range of clients including industrial corporations, the construction and land development sectors and municipalities. Matthew also provides advice and solutions about contaminated land issues, environmental risk management, environmental transactional due diligence and regulatory compliance.

Mark Priddle​, P.Geo., FGC

McIntosh Perry
Mark Priddle is a Senior Consultant and Qualified Person with McIntosh Perry, specializing in environmental geosciences with McIntosh Perry. He provides leadership and senior technical support in environmental site assessment, site remediation, excess soils, environmental assessment, hydrology/hydrogeology, geotechnical, biology and ecology. Mark is a Professional Geoscientist with more than 35 years of experience and has sat on the Council of Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO). He is also a Senior Advisor for excess soils management on numerous construction projects (buildings, bridges, roads). In this role, he provides advice on segregation, handling and disposal of excess soils in accordance with regulations.
Neil Isenegger, P.Eng

Neil Isenegger, P.Eng, is a Pre-Construction Manager with Menard Canada Inc. and has been working in the Ontario geotechnical industry for over a dozen years. He completed his degree in Civil / Structural Engineering at McMaster University in 2011 and has gained extensive experience on a variety of major infrastructure projects as well as commercial, industrial, and residential construction. For the past 8 years, Neil has been focused on executing design/build ground improvement projects and has successfully tackled some of Ontario’s worst soil conditions. Neil is actively involved with the Hamilton-Halton Construction Association and serves as co-chair for the Young Leaders Group (YLG).

Ryan Moniz is the Director of Business Development for GFL– Soils Division and Project Director for GFL’s soil management software – PATH. He has been working within the environmental industry his entire career, which has taken him on a journey from completing & supporting site assessments across Canada to now providing soil management solutions for all types of infrastructure and development projects. Ryan has been an active participant within the Ontario Environmental Industry Association assisting with the development of best management guidance for all stakeholders to better understand the new excess soils regulation.
