Dear St. Anne Catholic School Families,
We have had an incredible Homecoming week on campus, filled with Crusader spirit. Our pep rally was exciting, and the Homecoming event saw a record turnout. A heartfelt thank you goes to Mrs. Sullivan, the Booster Club, and Coach Carpio for organizing such a memorable occasion. Additionally, our gratitude extends to Mr. Akbar and the Dad’s Club for their efforts in preparing the campus and serving delicious burgers and hotdogs, as well as to the Knights of Columbus for their generosity and assisting with the food.
Congratulations to the football team for their Homecoming victory, and a special thanks to Mrs. Cruz and the cheerleaders and Mrs. Jones and the drumline for their enthusiastic support. We also appreciate the alumni and families who came out to cheer on our Crusaders. St. Anne Catholic School’s strong sense of community truly sets us apart and this was evident on Wednesday evening.
Looking ahead to next week, we will celebrate our 40th day of school in our 40th year on Monday with the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. We will commemorate this day by participating in the Living Rosary. Please remember to send in your canned goods on Monday as part of this special celebration. Additionally, our 3rd and 4th graders will visit St. Mary’s Seminary on Wednesday, and our Pre-K students will take a trip to the Oil Ranch on Thursday. Please note that school will be closed on Friday, October 11th, for our Archdiocesan staff development day, and Monday, October 14th, will also be a holiday.
The countdown to our Fall Festival has begun, with just 16 days remaining until the event. Raffle ticket sales continue to be strong, and we sincerely thank you for your continued support and investment in our school. We encourage you to explore the Fall Festival Connection that went out Wednesday for volunteer and special donation opportunities.
With cooler weather on the horizon, we look forward to a wonderful week ahead. Have a blessed weekend.
Sincerely in Christ,
Kendall Shamas Ed. D
Principal

Dear Parents and Friends of St. Anne:
At this time we are looking to add new members to our Advisory School Council.
In Catholic spirituality, discernment refers to reaching an understanding of a situation (or course of action) without the burden of subjective judgements, which involve emotions, desires and other human motivations. It is a process that attempts to grasp the will of God for one’s life – an inner search for an answer to the question of one’s perceived calling to service.
Discernment will be held on October 15. Parents or friends of the school who have an interest in participating in the discernment process please send an email
to Dr. Shamas by October 11 to participate.

CARLINE REMINDERS:
SCHOOL DAY | 8:00 AM – 3:35 PM
| |
MORNING CARLINE REMINDERS:
- Carline starts at 7:40am
- Students should not exit the vehicle until they hear the whistle.
- Families with students in PreK/Kinder/1st grade should use red line (the line on the right, closest to the school building).
- Students should not exit the vehicle if the vehicle has not passed the corner of the St. Vincent de Paul building.
- Students in blue line (the line on the left, closest to the gym) should walk up the middle of the parking lot to the covered crosswalk.
AFTERNOON CARLINE REMINDERS:
- Dismissal starts at 3:35pm.
- If the main parking lot is full, please enter the overflow lot. Do not turn into the main lot from Cherry Street if there are cars in the overflow lot.
- Follow the painted lines with the center of your vehicle
- Pull up as close as possible to the vehicle in front of you to maximize the number of cars we can get in the parking lot.
- When you are waiting to exit the overflow lot, please do not enter the alley that connects the entrance to the overflow lot with the overflow lot as this prevents vehicles from entering the overflow lot, causing a backup of vehicles on Cherry Street.

Trunk or Treat
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26TH
6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
| |
It’s Trunk or Treat time at St. Anne! Trunk or Treat is an event designated for children from 5th grade and under. The event consists of decorating the trunk of your car with an appropriate theme for our children and the Church. Also, you could hand out candy to the children who attend the event. This is not a requirement; however, it is a healthy and fun way to celebrate with the children of our community. There will be a pumpkin carving/decorating and dance contest. We will have a DJ and lots of fun! Prizes for the best Trunk and Costume!!!
Trunk or Treat set up starts at 4:00 pm in the parking lot between gym and school. We only have 40 spots available and the deadline for trunk sign ups is Tuesday, October 22. Food and drinks will be for sale to raise money for Saint Anne Children Faith Formation. So, bring some cash with you.
If you have any questions about the event, or if you want to decorate your car, please contact me to reserve your spot at: Devin Devore devinrdevore@gmail.com
In case of bad weather, the event will take place in the gym.
HOPE TO SEE YOU IN YOUR COSTUME!
