Save the Date: Christmas Bird Count

January 1, 2023

Denver Audubon Urban Christmas Bird Count, Sunday, January 1, 2022

Multiple locations and times

An annual holiday tradition for 123 years! We encourage you to get involved, and every birding level is welcome: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. The more eyes we have, the more birds we see. Kickoff the New Year with a half day or whole day effort. It’s a good way to ring in 2023!

The count covers a circle with a 15-mile diameter that includes the Platte River from North City limits to Mississippi, west to Buckley Field and Rocky Mtn. Arsenal.

We are overwhelmed by your support!

Over this past month, we've asked our community for support and you guys did not let us down. 49% of our annual funding last year came from donors. Suffice to say, we would not be here without the immense support of our community.

We are happy to report that for Colorado Gives Day, we received over $26,000. Your support will help us continue to grow our mission and keep our doors open another year. We are so grateful to have a community dedicated to ensuring the future of birds, wildlife, and their habitats. We look forward to sharing updates about the continued impact of your gift throughout 2023.

If you didn't get a chance to donate, there is still is time! Any donations made through December are tax-deductible for 2022.
