Ribs & Rods Car Show & Cook Off
Ribs & Rods is one of Temple's most popular and fastest growing events, joining the community's love for live music, classic and custom cars, and BBQ, all in support of our local Ronald McDonald House.
Past events have brought in over 600 show vehicles, 75 top notch cooking teams, many vendors, plus family-friendly, fun events and contests.
Bend 'O The River is one of the most beautiful car show and BBQ cook off sites with sprawling grass and shade trees suprisingly located right off I- 35.

While music hasn’t paid off for me monetarily, the memories that have come with it have been worth every penny spent. I will always provide a show that’s family-friendly for all ages and I will keep on doing my part to try and keep the Texas Dancehalls alive!

2023 Walk to End Alzheimer's - Bell County
Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is the world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.
While there is no fee to register for Walk, all participants are encouraged to raise critical funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support and advance research toward methods of prevention, treatment and, ultimately, a cure.
How to Participate in 3 Easy Steps:
-Register for your local Walk.
Start or join a team and invite others to walk with you.
-Start fundraising and spread the word.
We’ll provide tips and coaching every step of the way, including easy ways to recruit others and raise funds.
-Join us on Walk day.
Come together for an inspiring community event that celebrates our commitment to ending the disease.

Good Family Fun and Homemade Boat Race Competition! The Belton Lions Club is excited to announce their 1st annual LIONS on the LEON Wacky Boat Race and Picnic in the Park!
Cardboard and Wacky Open Categories - Build a Wacky boat and compete in the race. Live local music, games & activities for the whole family; food trucks, and car show. Vote for People's Choice in Boats, Food Trucks, Entertainment, Car Show and more. Boats line up at 11am - Races Begin at 1pm. Prizes and Trophies for: Race winner(s), People's Choice, President's Award, Cardboard Class & Jackpot Race.

Dave Jorgenson
Dave Jorgenson is no newcomer to country music. From a young age he has been slinging a guitar strap and entertaining audiences with songs that reflect his personal life and the real world of Midwestern America. In Dave’s early years, he was exposed to every type of music by his teenage friends, and through his participation as a sax player in his high school band, but his heart was always lured back to the songs that were a part of the rural, blue-collar life he lived. Dave is country.

Temple College Presents “The Works of Stanley Friedman”
Temple College will host “The Works of Stanley Friedman” at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8 in the Jackson-Graeter Backstage Theatre at the Mary Alice Marshall Performing Arts Center.
The concert will feature an instrumental piece entitled “Monument” and the vocal cantata “Sojourner Truth.”
“Monument” is a multi-movement work inspired by the removal of Confederate statues in Memphis, Tennessee. “Sojourner Truth” is a work for soprano and instrumental ensemble. It is based on the writings and speeches of Sojourner Truth, who was born into slavery and, after gaining her freedom, became an influential symbol for the anti-slavery movement and the Civil War itself.
