Temple Civic Theatre presents: August Wilson's ~ Fences

Troy Maxson, a former star of the Negro baseball leagues, now works as a garbage man in 1957 Pittsburgh. Excluded from the major leagues in his prime, Troy has grown increasingly bitter, and his anger and frustration take a toll on his wife Rose and his son Cory, who now wants his own chance to play ball professionally.

Adult Clay Handbuilt Serving Dish Workshop

Feb. 6th at 5:30PM

Have you always wanted to try throwing clay on a pottery wheel? This is the perfect chance to learn the basics and take home your very own hand-thrown bowl.

Class fee includes an hour and a half of small group hands-on instruction, clay, glazes, and kiln firing for 1 finished piece. Please wear long hair tied back and nails short. Pieces will remain at the studio to dry slowly, be fired in our kilns, and be glazed. Pieces should be ready for pick up approximately 3 weeks from the date of the class

The next Bulk Drop-off is February 7th.

Here's the criteria:

Must live in the Belton city limits or Three Creeks Municipal Utility District

(proof residency required)

One load per household. No hazardous waste such as paint, chemicals, TVs, tires or batteries. No commercial bulk. The event is for residential customers

No large runs of fence (scrap material is appropriate)

Regardless of disposal method, all appliances with refrigerants must be green tagged (a green tag designates that refrigerants are removed).

Create your own hand-built teapot in this Clay Workshop at That Art Place! Our instructor will guide you through the process! Your teapot will remain at the studio after the workshop to dry, be bisque-fired, glazed with your choice of glaze, and then kiln-fired a second time. We'll send a text when it's ready to pick up, in about 3 weeks.

Adult Clay Berry Bowl Workshop

Jan. 31 at 2:30 pm

This clay workshop will explore adding texture to clay! We will roll slabs, stamp texture, and construct berry bowls by hand using many clay tools. A variety of texture tools will be available for each student to customize their project. Add handles or feet to your berry bowl.

Ages 13+ only

Pre-registration required

After the workshop the bowls will remain at the studio for 3 weeks to be bisque fired, glazed with your choice of glaze, and then kiln-fired a final time. We will send a text when they are ready for pick up.

This is a clay hand building workshop and does not include the use of pottery wheels.

This public skating session is geared to younger or beginner skaters and their families!

Our full cafe menu is available so come hungry.

Purchase tickets online in advance at discounted rate. Full price at the door until occupancy is reached. As always, everyone needs a ticket to enter except children 3 and under. Children 15 & under must be accompanied by a ticketed adult 21+
