That Art Place ~ Adult 'Try it Out' Pottery Wheel Workshop

Friday, 5:30pm


Have you always wanted to try throwing clay on a pottery wheel? This is the perfect chance to learn the basics and take home your very own hand-thrown cup, bowl or vessel!.

$55

Limit of 6 students. Class fee includes an hour and a half of small group hands-on instruction, clay, glazes, and kiln firing for 1 finished piece. Pieces will remain at the studio to dry slowly, be fired in our kilns, and be glazed. Pieces should be ready for pick up approximately 3 weeks from the date of the class.

Join us for the best night in town. This week's theme is "Halloween Howlers"......costumes, craft beer, and questionable dance moves , sound like a blast to us....we can't wait to see you. Remember singing along IS encouraged!

Saturday Nov. 1st 11am-1pm

Join us at the museum to honor those who have passed before us in celebration of this wonderful holiday. There will be face painting, crafts, games, and a beautiful folklorico dance performance! Visitors are also invited to bring a photo of a loved one to add to the community ofrenda. Dance performances at 11am only. Comunidad Nuestras Raíces Folklorico Dancers Directed by Ruby Novoa

The event is completely FREE for all ages.


Join us for our Highland Cow Paint & Cuddle event on Saturday Nov. 1st from 5:30–7:30 PM! Each guest will paint their own Highland cow pottery mug and enjoy time petting real Highland cows from Screaming Goat Funny Farm in the backyard of That Art Place. Open to all ages! Everyone attending must have their own ticket. Each ticket includes one mug to paint, all supplies, and cow cuddles. Mugs will stay at the studio to be kiln fired. Pre-registration is required!

Adult Three Part Serving Dish: Clay Workshop

November 1st at 3pm


In this clay workshop, our instructor will guide students through the process of forming 3 bowls. The bowls will be joined together to create a fun and functional serving dish complete with a loop handle! Each project can be customized with texture, stamps, and clay sculpting tools. No clay experience necessary. This project does not use the pottery wheels. After the workshop, your serving dish will remain at the studio for 3 weeks to be bisque-fired, glazed with your choice of glaze. Ready in about 3 wks.

That Art Place ~ Adult Fused Glass Birch Tree Workshop

Sunday at 2pm


Create this 8 x 12 Fused Glass Autumn Birch Tree project at That Art Place! Our instructor will guide you through the process. No prior glass experience necessary. The wood stand and all supplies are included!

*Your glass project will stay at the studio after class to be fired in our kiln. We'll notify you as soon as it's ready to be picked up!

This public skating session is geared to younger or beginner skaters and their families!

Our full cafe menu is available so come hungry.

Purchase tickets online in advance at discounted rate. Full price at the door until occupancy is reached. As always, everyone needs a ticket to enter except children 3 and under. Children 15 & under must be accompanied by a ticketed adult 21+
