We have been lucky to have our wonderful lockbox for the past few years but it has finally called it quits. We are ordering a replacement but appreciate your patience during this time. You can return smaller kits in the pull handle drop box after hours or return large ones to the box near our front door during library hours.

I'm hoping that based on our experience with after-hours drop boxes, our newest version will be even better.

RIMAC and TechACCESS of Rhode Island will be closed December 25th & 26th.

Did You Know RIMAC has...?

Were you aware that RIMAC has audiobooks and tablets you can borrow? The audiobooks are either small Playaway devices or the actual books with an audio player built into it.

The tablets are devices with preloaded apps, that do NOT connect to the internet and focus on reading skills.

Look for audio or Launchpads in the catalog.

Musings from the Makerspace

TechACCESS of RI has a makerspace with four 3D printers and a laser cutter. For RIMAC, the makerspace serves to create objects, tactile materials, games, with Braille and much more.

Each month I'll be sharing what I have been working on in the Makerspace. First, I wanted to tell you more about our 3D printers. Three of them are from Prusa and the last one is a Lulzbot.

The Prusa MKS was TechAccess’s first 3D printer. It has printed 360 days & 14 hours worth of projects with 6.3 miles of filament!
