Sign up to attend the 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Home Care Medicine. The meeting, titled Home-Based Medical Care: Leadership Across the Landscape, will take place online October 29 and 30. Also, sign up to attend the HCCI preconference, Level Up! Take Your House Call Operations to New Heights, preceding the meeting on October 28. The preconference is designed for providers, practice managers, and other staff interested in enhancing the efficiency, productivity, and ultimately the bottom line of their house call program.

The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) will host their 22nd AMSA National Primary Care Week from October 4 to October 9, and the theme this year is “Health Outside of the Hospital.” As part of the week’s offerings, on Wednesday, October 6, from 1pm-2pm (Central), HCCI will present Home Centered Care Institute: Bringing Family Medicine Back Home, a free session facilitated by Dr. Paul Chiang, Senior Medical and Practice Advisor, HCCI, and Medical Director, HomeCare Physicians. Dr. Chiang will introduce HBPC to “tomorrow’s physicians” and describe the converging forces driving the demand and tremendous value it brings to patients, providers, payers, caregivers, and families.

The Illinois Hospice & Palliative Care Organization will host its 2021 virtual conference on Wednesday, October 6, with the theme “Creating Connections — Building for the Future.” During the conference, HCCI will present Exploring Synergies & Value of the Intersection of Home-Based Primary Care and Palliative Care.
