How to Help Seniors with Hoarding Problems
The next time you visit an older parent or senior, take a good look around their home for signs of clutter or untidiness. Hoarding is a behavioral disorder characterized by extreme clutter in a home that negatively impacts a person’s quality of life. Hoarding may not seem dangerous, but it can cause major problems — especially for vulnerable people such as seniors.

A 5-Star Review:
"Visiting Angels have helped us through the last six months. I don’t how we would have made it without their support. Our father passed on [in January] & our Mom suffers from Alzheimer’s. True angels on earth. Thank you Visiting Angels from our family to yours."

Celebrating Our Hardworking Employees
We are so proud of our wonderful, hard-working employees who go beyond the call of duty. Below is why our Angels are so special...
Jeilyn F: Jeilyn has been with Visiting Angels since October 2017. She is an accomplished and level-headed caregiver who maintains a professional demeanor in stressful situations. Our clients appreciate her kind attention and often comment that she makes every day a pleasure when she is with them. Procedurally, Jeilyn is responsive to office communications and requests, and is timely in submitting her required paperwork and duty sheets.
Amal S: Amal has been one of our dedicated live-in caregivers since August 2020. Amal is adept at dealing with challenging behaviors such as dementia. She keeps her composure and is able to redirect our clients in a sensitive and respectful manner. She follows office procedures by communicating regularly with the office and dutifully submits our required weekly paperwork.
We appreciate and thank you, Jeilyn and Amal!

SENIOR AEROBICS
A woman reported, "I feel like my body has gotten totally out of shape, so I got my doctor's permission to join a fitness club and start exercising.
I decided to take an aerobics class for seniors.
I bent, twisted, gyrated, jumped up and down, and perspired for an hour.
But, by the time I got my leotards on, the class was over."

COVID-19 Vaccines and Boosters Widely Available
|
COVID-19 vaccines are now available to everyone aged 6 months and older in New Jersey. Booster shots are also available (see CDC recommendations regarding age/doses). Pharmacies in stores such as CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, and Rite-Aid are all offering vaccination opportunities.
It's important to protect yourself, older people, and everyone you come in contact with by getting a COVID-19 vaccine and booster shot.
