How to Help Seniors Manage Headaches and Migraines
Migraines are prevalent neurological disorders that affect 39 million Americans—mostly women—according to the Migraine Research Foundation. These painful bouts can adversely impact the health and well-being of older adults and lead to increases in depression, anxiety, and sleep disturbances. Celebrating Our Hardworking Employees
We are so proud of our wonderful, hard-working employees who go beyond the call of duty. Below is why our Angels are so special...
Joanna W: Joanna is a solid, professional live-in caregiver Angel. When assigned a very challenging case, she asked knowledgeable questions about our client and their needs, and continued to communicate with the office. Her calm demeanor and steady personality are a huge benefit when caring for clients with dementia who might need a more gentle, compassionate touch. She is able to maintain company standards and policies while in a stressful environment. She always gives the office plenty of time to schedule her time-off requests, which gives the office a better chance to get coverage. Additionally, Joanna is prompt in turning in duty sheets and responding to messages from the office.
Rose A: Rose's energetic and positive attitude enters the room before she does! She is always dedicated to our long-term clients, frequently remaining with them as long as they require our services. Rose creates such a feeling of family that she has received specific praise for that from both clients' family members and from our clients themselves. In addition to her innate ability to create a comfortable environment with clients, she also has a solid relationship with office members, submits duty sheets on time, and is eager to keep learning. Rose has solidified her spot in the Visiting Angels care team family.
We appreciate and thank you, Joanna and Rose!

LATE NIGHT LECTURE
An older man driving erratically was stopped by the police around 2 a.m. and was asked where he was going at that time of night.
The man replied, "I'm on my way to a lecture about alcohol abuse and the effects it has on the human body, as well as smoking and staying out late."
The officer then asked, "Really? Who's giving that lecture at this time of night?"
The man replied, "That would be my wife."
