Celebrating Our Hardworking Employees

We are so proud of our wonderful, hard-working employees who go beyond the call of duty. Below is why our Angels are so special...

Yan D: Yan has been with Visiting Angels for 4 years. During this time, Yan’s work as a caregiver has been appreciated by both our clients and the office team. She communicates with the office about any issues or requests, responds promptly to messages, and is a hard worker. Yan has shown a willingness to take on more challenging assignments, understanding that those clients need a greater level of compassionate, consistent care. Yan submits required duty sheets and other documentation necessary for personnel file updates in a timely manner. Yan has shown interest in furthering her knowledge of professional caregiving by completing varied inservice modules.

Charma R: Charma has been with Visiting Angels since January 2021. She has proven through her diligence and dedication that she’s a prime example of a Visiting Angels’ caregiver. A seasoned professional with over 30 years’ experience in the health care field, Charma is competent and comfortable with her daily responsibilities, allowing her to focus on our clients’ recovery and/or maintenance goals. Charma is willing to drive a longer distance to client homes, which is a great help with scheduling. Charma regularly returns her weekly duty sheets and is responsive to documentation requests, remaining updated on compliance requirements.

We appreciate and thank you, Yan and Charma!

HOW THE FIGHT STARTED

My wife and I were sitting at a table at her high school reunion and she kept staring at a drunken man swigging his drink as he sat alone at a nearby table.

I asked her, “Do you know him?”

“Yes”, she sighed, “He’s my old boyfriend. I understand he took to drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear he hasn’t been sober since.”

“Wow!” I said, “Who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?”

And that’s how the fight started

COVID-19 Vaccines and Boosters Widely Available
COVID-19 vaccines are now available to everyone aged 5 and older in New Jersey. Booster shots are available for those aged 12+ for Pfizer and 18+ for Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Pharmacies in stores such as CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, and Rite-Aid are all offering vaccination opportunities.

It's important to protect yourself, older people, and everyone you come in contact with by getting a COVID-19 vaccine and booster shot.

Celebrating Visiting Angels’ Nursing Team

National Nurses Week May 6–12

We honor our team of nurses during National Nurses Week! Our team is headed by our Director of Nursing, Arleen. Arleen is tasked with performing multiple state accreditation tasks, training employees, calling clients, overseeing our field RN team, and attending staff meetings, among other essential duties. Our Nursing Supervisors—Jacqueline, Charmaine, Dawn, Sharon, Deborah, and Shanelle—are the faces our clients and caregiver employees see most. They are in the field performing client assessments, creating care plans, supervising and evaluating our CHHA employees, and much more. Thank you, Arleen, Jacqueline, Charmaine, Dawn, Sharon, Deborah, and Shanelle!
