OAG May Meeting
Tony Morton,
Kasum Contemporary Fine Art
Monday, May 18
Oklahoma Contemporary Arts - 7-9pm

Hunting Snipe: Summery
A seasoned gallerist and commercial art dealer, Morton will speak on the topic of career sustainability through the commercial art industry. Many artists see traditional, representing, galleries as the path to sustainability but very few understand the industry itself.

- Morton will offer insight on the risks and challenges that an art dealer faces when considering which artists to work with.
- What characteristics commercial art dealers are looking for in an artist's personality and portfolio.
- Various approaches to finding the art galleries which are interested in and capable of marketing your work successfully.
- Great methods for approaching art galleries and making a positive first impression.
-  How to build a successful and mutually beneficial relationship with your gallery representatives.
- A Q&A (Questions and answer) session will follow the discussion.
