LynnĂ© Bowman Cravens  was born and raised in Austin, Texas.  She attended St. Edward's University, and received her BA in Photo Communications in 2009. Cravens later attended graduate school at the University of North Texas where she received her MFA in Photography in 2015.  Cravens is a fine art photographer working in an interdisciplinary method. She takes a wide range of approaches in her artwork as a response to her autobiographical narrative. The work is poetic and expressive, revealing a glimpse into her desires through contemporary self-portraiture. Cravens works primarily with photography, making unique pieces from an infinitely reproducible medium. Through meticulous physical distortions and transdisciplinary techniques, she creates photographic pieces that address her personal experiences, identity, and physical form. Each piece and series range from large-scale digital installations to delicate one of a kind objects.

Cravens currently resides in the DFW area, working as the Gallery Manager at  The Art Galleries at TCU . Cravens is in her second and final season as a member of the artist run co-
500X Gallery  in Dallas, Texas. Her work was also featured in the June 2016 issue of the  British Origami Society's international publication, and in the 4 th  Annual  Rising Stars  exhibition at  Turner House . Cravens recently had a solo exhibition of her work in Fort Worth at the  Moncrief Cancer Institute .

The session is open to the public so all VAST artists, and all interested area artists, are invited to attend. The charge is $25 for the three hour session.

Meetup host Nick Langley says:   "What we're about:
Been meaning to draw more? And meet great people too? Do both! Come, relax and learn with us. The main purpose of these meetups is to provide a  wide variety of figure drawing opportunities. Absolutely no experience is  necessary, just a desire to explore your creative side! Our aim is to provide
a warm, supportive, and inspirational environment for all who want to join.
Life Drawing Meetups are open to everyone.

Q: Are materials provided and included in the cost of the class?
A: No, please bring along paper, pencils, charcoal, and erasers or whatever your preferred medium is.

Q: Is there an instructor?
A: Yes, but only if feedback is asked for. The class is mostly self-guided.

Q: How many poses are typically provided by the model?
A: As a warm-up we start with four 5-minute poses, followed by 15- minute poses, and capped off with three or four 30-minute poses to end  the night. This is the typical format, but not necessarily what is done  100% of the time."
