Town Hall Meeting Today with Commissioner Vince Lago

Fun, Fireworks & Fanfare at the Fourth of July Celebration!

Show off your patriotism with fun, fireworks and fanfare at the Fourth of July celebration, presented to you by the City of Coral Gables and the Biltmore Hotel. Watch the best fireworks in town from the grounds of the Biltmore Hotel, 1200 Anastasia Avenue. Golf course greens open to the public at 5 p.m., a free concert with the Greater Miami Symphonic Band starts at 7 p.m. and the fireworks show begins at 9 p.m. Free parking and shuttle service is available to and from the Biltmore Hotel. Shuttle service begins at 5 p.m. Fireworks (including sparklers), smoking, grills, pets, tents, glass containers and weapons are not permitted at the event. Read more...

Happy Independence Day!

Coral Gables City Hall will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day, but please come join us at the Biltmore Hotel for a great celebration.
 The following facilities and services will also be closed: 
  • Passport Office at 4520 Ponce de Leon 
  • No regular Trolley service. Beginning at 5 p.m. Trolleys will be transporting eventgoers to and from the Biltmore Hotel for the 4th of July celebration. 
  • War Memorial Youth Center at 405 University Drive
  • Kerdyk Biltmore Tennis Center at 1200 Anastasia Avenue
  • Adult Activity Center at 2 Andalusia Avenue
  The following facilities/services will remain open:
  • Garbage, trash, and recycling services will not be affected
  • Venetian Pool will be open from 11 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. 
  • Salvadore Tennis Center will be open from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Free Bone Health Consultation

Did you know that half of all Americans over the age of 50 will have a life-altering fracture? Sadly, two million preventable fractures occur every year. To reduce the number of fractures among senior adults in our community, we invite you to a "Freedom from Fractures," a free bone health consultation on Friday, July 14, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Adult Activity Center, 2 Andalusia Avenue. The event is sponsored by American Bone Health. The event is free, but registration is required by calling 305-461-6764.

If you're a senior adult 62 years of age and older, you can take advantage of Miami-Dade County's Golden Ticket Arts Guide, which offers an amazing array of cultural offerings, free of charge. First, review the guide to find events or cultural venues that you would like to visit. Then, you must call the corresponding organization to make a reservation as the Golden Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Traffic Update
FDOT is doing roadway construction along LeJeune Road from Almeria Avenue to Majorca Avenue. This project will last until June of next year. Lane closures may occur during non-peak hours on nights and weekends. Please obey all posted signs and speed limits. 

The entrance eastbound on SR 836 from LeJeune Road is closed for reconstruction. This closure will be in effect through the end of 2017. Drivers can enter SR 836 from NW 37 Avenue instead.
