Digging Deeper with Tod Bolsinger
|
We know that you love your churches and you know that good leadership is crucial to having a vibrant congregation. Tod has experience - lots of it - and he understands what it takes to negotiate the changes and challenges of working with people and inviting them to a common vision. There will be some time for Q&A with him during the Presbytery meeting, but, if you want to spend more time with him Digging Deeper into the topic, Tod will also be zooming with us Thursday, June 16th at 1pm as a follow-up on our leadership conversation where you can ask questions and discuss matters in your church.
Mark your calendars now and take advantage of these opportunities to learn more about being a transformational leader.

The Presbytery Goes to The Naturals Game!
|
Save the date of June 15 for Presbyterian night at the ballpark. The Northwest Arkansas Naturals play the Arkansas Travelers at 7:05pm at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale. We have been given the honor of having a combined Presbyterian choir sing the National Anthem on the field before the first pitch. If anyone in your church would like to attend and/or sing, please coordinate within your congregation so that we can organize our block seating and our combined choir. We encourage church members to wear their church t-shirt if they have one, or some other Presbyterian t-shirt (Ferncilff, PDA, etc) if available.

Jeannie Ford joined the staff at Second Presbyterian Church in Little Rock as their Christian Educator in 1992. Thirty years later, Second Presbyterian and the Presbytery of Arkansas congratulate her on 30 years of work well done as she retires.
To quote her co-worker and friend, Lindy Vogado, "Today was one of the best days for my church family as we celebrated the thirty year ministry of our beloved church educator Jeannie DeMotte Ford. From pogo sticks, hula hoops, and pin-the-hat-on-the-educator games to a moving worship service to a gathered meal with memories, laughter, and tears, it was a beautiful day celebrating one of the most important and influential people in my life."

Why We Watch Movies At Church
|
If you’re entering a season with traditionally low attendance, why not try something new. A few years ago at Life.Church, they identified that summer was slow. Rather than accept the slump, they tried something new—and it worked!
At the Movies is their annual summer series at Life.Church that uses popular movies to demonstrate biblical truths—and reach people who normally wouldn’t come to church.
During the service, they show clips from popular movies, and the pastor bases his message on themes from the films. At the Movies has helped them see higher attendance than any other month of the year and they are sharing all of their resources with you, for free!
Click here to find all the training, marketing, and graphics assets you need to create your own At the Movies event in your church.

What's Next in Christian Education Workshop
|
The global pandemic has radically changed how we meet and connect for worship and education. Even as churches are resuming in-person activities, many of the faithful are still looking for online and hybrid offerings. Join us to consider how we can continue to offer spiritual formation for all ages in an ever changing world.
This is a workshop in three parts. We will begin with a presentation from Elizabeth Christie and PRC educators on tools and practices for this moment. Then, we'll break off into 3 small groups to brainstorm and discuss our particular contexts. The webinar will take place June 9, 2022 01:00pm Central. Click here to register.
